Guess we would not be allowed to carry it that way now, at the time we had the warning signs on a preceding Nissan Patrol towing a caravan, no accreditation required. Similarly with explosives, to the police station with lease number, get a permit then to Perth with the car and bring it home in the boot.
The year following we got a s/h Poclain MC 100 18 ton excavator which did away with blasting.
Kockums KL225 comes to mind for that machine.

Yours is a 225.As far as I can see,its just a 25E with a cab that separates the operator from the rotating gears. Not a bad idea,I suppose. The WHSO wouldnt be keen on the standard Harman, thats for sure.I was trying to lift a 40ft container today, wouldnt budge with the crane on its ends,so I will have to unpack some of the junk inside.Dont want to collapse the boom again. Its got a few wobbly bits in it already.

I m thinking of holding a Harman rally. You should register early,as numbers may have to be limited.

I dunno. Its 13 years since I filled the fuel tank.Still about 2" left, might make it.Got a call from a guy with an Osgood dragline. He wants to come.Might be an outsider around all the Harmans.

Don't let this happen to your Harman

Easily Dun:
Boom left down low o/night
clutch slips wen trying to raise boom
U adjust clutch to raise boom
as the boom gets higher it becomes easier on the clutch
@ desired height U disengage the boom lift clutch... but U adjusted it up.... it wont stop... up n over
or the boom hoist rope jumps the drum onto the haul rope drum n gets draged in up n ovr
possable remedy have the engine kill switch close .............. reel close
LOL

Looks like Harman also made dozer logging winches

When transporting always drive on and off boom forward so it doesn't bounce if machine rocks.

I had a D type like the pics made in 1943.It had a 4cyl Cat motor with pilot motor start.A restorer needed the motor for his D4 and made an offer I couldnt refuse, and scrap was at an alltime high ,so that was the end of Harman #48. # 341 came mighty close too.I dunno if you ve seen Gardner motors on e bay for $10,000,but people keep telling me about it.Bubble has bust,as an unused/nos 4LW ex MOD was sold a couple of days ago at auction for 1000 quid, say $2000 with the premium.

Unlikely to be a Harman, but it is a crane. Make? Year?
170714F Murray River (Roderick Smith).
~864 km at 10.42, road crane on a works barge, with a tug. There a few on the river. Some will be contracted to Murray Darling for essential work; others are private, constructing marinas and jetties.

Roderick.
