Moomba tractors

Country parades have long been based on decorated trucks and trailers.
Moomba (Melbourne, Vic.) started in 1955, with more-elaborate versions.
Some decorated trailers were hauled by undecorated tractors.
Some were hauled by decorated tractors, camouflaged to the point of being unrecognisable.
Most were built on trucks, camouflaged completely, with just a peephole left for the driver.
These three photos are from a set of ten of the 1960 parade, found in an elderly citizens home, and published as a nostalgia article in Thurs.8.3.18 Melbourne Herald Sun (paywalled).

Roderick.
