Agree, did they have enclosed driveshaft? The curved right hand window post in pic with steering wheel looks Dodge

The fuel cap says Dodge Brothers and the owner said 1928 Dodge. The red '28 Dodge in the pic (from interweb) has the same window post and steering wheel, so looks like a match.

The odd NorthEast Electric Co speedo ,that reads either direction still there....27/28.Dodges seem to be more common than Fords ,suppose Ford production stopped while the Model A was being organized.

I think there is a bit of history to go with that Atkinson cab that was at Ritchies?
FWIK, it is the second of the two twin steer bogie drive ex Shell NT Roadtrains- one got burnt, this is the other.
It had a 12V71 GM in it, and was bought by Frank Brandimarti from Geelong many years ago. He pulled it apart, and sold the engine to Russell Hovey.
Russell wanted to get a bigger donk in his Kenworth, as he was always a touch... heavy... shall we say. So the idea was he could get along at somewhere near normal truck speed, and not look like he had a hundred tons on board..
Anyway it didn't really work out, it ended up breaking a crankshaft (Russell told me it was caused by a crook harmonic balancer) and I don't know what happened to it then.
The twin steer chassis was sold with the cab at Ritchies too, I guess for scrap money. No idea where either that or the cab went, but hopefully the cab lives on as a kids cubby house or something like that.
But she would have had a few stories to tell from back in the day eh...Part of history gone.

I tend to think that Dodge chassis is earlier than 1928, i would say 1925 or '26.
