190516Th Melbourne Age - grain harvesting.
A stock photo, Canada or Australia? Make/model? It illustrates our rare importing because of drought.

Dear John :silly:

I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.

I would say it is an Australian photo, of a John Deere 4755.

Identification isn't necessary; this was simply a convenient thread to place to it.
Part of a Murray-Darling rally outside Parliament House.

From memory they did not get what they needed, water to grow crops and the government released a heap down the Murray to keep some fish happy, oh, and the bloody greenies too.

Don't worry about eating so long as the fish have water to swim in and that forrest got water too.

Green and gold: another Deere?
What would be the hydraulic fitment at the front? Post-hole digger? Water borer?
It was illustrating a Gippsland drought article.

Definitely a John Deere , front attachment would be a front end loader but seeing as he is among hay making machinery I would say it might have a bale grab on instead of a bucket

You can't have too many toys!

A mate of mine used to run his KW semi from PArkes and FOrbes to Balmain docks full of wheat a long time back now, possibly in the early 1980's. He said his deep reduction got him up Victoria Pass a few times due to load weights.
