Thanks John you guys clearly know these machines very well!!
Is there any distinguishing features that could help me I'd the tractor model.(other than an serial number that is nowhere to be found)
Or is there some odd place where the serial number would be that I can't see?

Cheers

Thanks Oliver.
I'm leaning towards the 791 mine looks very similar to Sanctuarys.

I noticed on an earlier post a link was post which seemed to help id sanctuarys machine. The link doesn't seem to exist anymore. Any ideas what it was?

Also is there any workshop manuals floating around for these ol girls?

Thanks for all of your help gents.

Any chance anyone would know where I could get my hands on an owner's manual and or a workshop manual?

I assume you ve looked at the manual sale lists on ebay and gumtree.........Ive never seen a hoe manual, but the Champion tractor manuals are more common......and in a Mk 3 Champion manual you get most of the tractor ,except the planetary axle .As far as I know parts for the Borg Warner are still available, the Perkins for sure........The hoe hydraulics may be in a US John Deere manual for their hoes.

I have John.
So the Mark 3 and the F700 are pretty much the same machine?
And I found a 92 hoe manual but not a 91.
Atleast I have a starting point now!!

Numbers on some of these older machines are relatively lightly stamped so you might have to sand of some of the paint and / or rub over the surface with a marker pen then wipe of the excess with the hope that some will remain to highlight the numbers. It took me two days crawling all over my Scout to find the chassis number, and that was its fairly explicit instructions on where to look.
