Old Smokey was created by Mrsmackpaul
Not my photos or information, something I stumbled across on Google many years ago now
If I recall correctly it was built in WW2 when there was a shortage of gear


A very classy build

Not my piccies, not in QLD but I reckon it's a ripper crawler

Might be a similar story here Paul.
Need for dozers in WW2, concern whether enough could be supplied from the USA.
Seen at the Army Museum of Military Engineering, School of same at Holdsworthy.
Sorry, couldn’t get a full photo as machines packed in close together.

I new Russia made a copy of the D7, I never new Australia did, I guess it was a needs must type of deal during the war
