Perfect repair. It's rare those screws come loose n are normally a batch to undo.

When mowing say embankments your suppose to mow across the slope. By engaging the ratchet drive only on the low side. This allows the free wheel to follow the driven nnis easier to handle. They are a heavy mower with so much cast iron in them n with both rachet drives engaged is hard to steer like having a LSD rear end.
About to post about the blades.

Still cleaning parts ready for painting. Attacked the cutter bar this morning. Found I'm missing a pressure foot for the blade nhave that broken tyne. I removed the blade wire brushed it then touched it up with a file to remove some burrs underneath then a light touch up on the cutting edge. I knew that it cut grass already but while it's apart why not tidy it. Note the serrations on the side of the tyne to aid cutting. up.

Thanks Lang, that's the one that helped me work out how the lid came off. Great clip to watch.

The Allen Scythe has been sitting on the side while I build a garden shed. But yesterday some shrink wrap arrived for the throttle cable. The original outer covering was shredded but the wire outer cable n inner cable were fine n moved freely. So I ordered some 6mm shrink wrap with glue inside which can shrink down 3 times its OD.
This morning I put it on n I'm happy with the out come.

That came up really nicely. You should be very happy with that.
Are you letting your grass grow so you have a practice plot?
