Many years ago, maybe 10 or so I aquired a new to me farm ute
A Kia Ceres 4x4 diesel 5 speed overdrive tipping tray
Miss Molly the border collie is tad skinner there
Anyway life changes a bit and it hasn't been used for year's
threw a battery in it and first piston to the top we were running
Anyway a few weeks ago I bought a ute back boom spray jigger at a clearing sale

So like most junk I buy the spray rig needs work
been as Cobba fixes motors and things I thought why not have ago at getting Delta going
Delta is the brand of motor that runs the spray rig
So it had spark, petrol and compression, it should work
Well pull pull pull, nothing so plan b
Grabbed another motor, shifted things about and drilled holes etc
Bingo a the Chineseium honda copy motor fired right up
The Delta is now ready for the return trip to Asia, sorry Cobba I don't have the staying power to fix these things

Oh Paul.
with the 3 basics it has to run. At least one of them is wrong. Pull the plug throw some fuel down the hole n try it. If it starts then blocked carby.
If not check the jeyway under the flywheel. Sometimes they can partly sheer throwing out the timing. Check for leaking valves. Also, always try another spark plug.
So before it goes on an overseas trip, have a go fella.

Cobba I might have a go but summer weeds are pretty high on the list of must do's, Bathurst bur, heliotrope and dock are needing a good dose of disencouragement
Anyway, were was I upto
the Chinesium Honda is mounted and runs, probably no better than Delta Dawn
Next, the boom.was 10 feet wide when folded and the 3pl spray rig was under 8 feet when folded so the simpelest plan was to swap the wings and leave the center section
Both booms are 8 meter booms, yes I am only a small time two bob farmer but the booms sort of fatigue over the years, a lotta swinging at distance I guess
So some serious cocky doo doo and a quick touch up with some foreign spray stuff and she was deemed good to go

FFS, reply up and left me, I can see the frustration people face posting on here
This is a challenge
I think I am up to about here, I dunno as you can't see your previous post while posting
Anyway onwards and upwards, yeah take it as positive feed back
So the boom was repaired and bolted back on and all put back together, a not easy job on your own
But the boom was a reassembled and now fits under 8 feet wide
I'll post this before the forum has BF again

So with only a 400 litre tank it means I can only cover 2 hectares or 5 acres at a time
I have another 3pl spray rig that donated it's boom for this project so I feel it also needs to donate it's tank
The 3pl tank is about 4 inches or so taller, this means I have to mount the ute back unit about 4 inches off the tray
so I make frame out of RHS that the ute back spray unit sits on and the 3pl tank sits in
So I have to lift the tank of the 3pl unit up into newly made frame
the MF backhoe decides it's starter motor no longer needs to spin the engine
So I get the little MF garden tractor with it's little loader and a ratchet strap and break all the safety rules and strap the tank to the loader as it doesn't lift very high
And end up end with it all looking like this, one tank on the frame and one in it

Great story and plenty of pics too, thanks Paul.
I had a bit to do with those Delta engines, they were a cheap copy of a Robin engine and sold well due to the price. Unfortunately the valve spring retainers were made from mild steel and didn't last very long then the customers chose another brand of engine.
The Chonda is a wonderful engine as long as it's full of oil.

To me they look like a Robin motor but I dunno much about small motors except when they work they are great and when they don't they give me great frustration
Not full remembering were I got up to yesterday I'll have crack at filling in the blanks
So trying to work out how to mount things that are safe and stable and actually work without been to invasive is always the challenge
As the years roll by I some times change my mind and need to undo what I had done years byeare, as such I try to mount things without drilling holes everywhere amd welding permanent into place
So I made up the rest of the frame for the second spray tank
Then welded up some brackets to hold the linkage arm lower lift points to the frame
Then promptly found out that with all my carefulll measurements I had drilled the holes to big to tap the thread
So welded the holes back up and re drilled and tapped the threads
The box section is blind, as in I cant get the spanner inside to hold a nut
I then made the brackets to hold the rear of the second tank and also quickly discovered I had made them the mirror image of what was needed
So a cool drink of water and the second time around was much more fruitful
So pulled it all apart as a storm was rolling in, Miss Molly the border collie is scared of thunder and as such I had a obstacle on the little tractor
Then with the aid of the little tractor and some non load rated ratchet straps I carried the frame around under cover for welding up fully, I try and build things so water can't and sit inside things
So apart from a few hours of welding and some tabs to bolt it all to I think the frame is about done
Have 8 holes to drill for some hobbs hoists I still need to make
I might even get enthused and paint it
Not really a lot to show for a full day of work and stuff ups
