Steve, this is probably true
One of my good tradesman used to make me work out what was wrong with a lift without touching anything
Just by observation

Actually both those good tradesman were like that

Hardi seem to use terrible plastics, not just that red stuff but for internal valves etc as well. Often just crumbles in your hand. In the end I gave up on my efforts and hired a contractor with a sat nav and who somehow always did the job at the right time and got a good kill.

Gunna start spraying stuff again and thought I best treat the Ceres to a fresh set of treads

So got the most aggressive tread and a bit more like the 6.50 x 14 donuts it began with

So order the fresh treads and they arrive, fired up the Ceres and start to toodle down to the tyre service

I thought bugger me, she revs but shebno move very much, so toodle along in 3rd and very light on the go pedal and made it down to the tyre service

Limp back home with it's fresh treads, then straight back to town to order a fresh clutch kit
while I wait for this fresh clutch kit to arrive I decided I best yank the clutch, I  was pretty sure it was only a bit stuck on the spline or throw out bearing was sticking.
So tonight I decide to yank the box

So very simple to work on these little jobs

Had the box off and on the deck in a hour amd a half, much quicker than the Mack or splitting a tractor

Clutch wasn't completely stuffed, but also wasn't real good either, I think the throw out bearing was binding a bit on dried up grease

It is always comical when working on cars and things that size at just how small everything is

I also noted when that when I spoke about the Ceres  C - er - s

I learnt it is more like Cer - hey, almost French like

Sounds much more classy

New clutch arrived and is now installed and the gear box bolted back in

The new clutch is purple and has a extreme sticker on it, so I'm sure that will help contain the unbridled horses of the little 2.4 litre  power house

These really are a value packed little unit

Well it all back together okay
No parts left over, I ordered a new slave cylinder for the clutch but thouvht Im in a hurry and its working fine so I'll keep it as a spare
Filled the tank and got to the paddock and stopped to open the gate, wouldn't you know it, I couldn't get it back into gear

So the new slave cylinder went in

The spray tank works fantastic

The Kia needa some brake work, but it pulls  a bit this way and that under heavy breaking
