I do like reel mowers but to get any more here I will have to part with some that already live here. Lately I';ve been looking at whats here in every area with mowers especially and considering lightening the load. So unless something very special comes my way I wont be buying much more.

Cobba,
There are a lot of people wanting good working ones. Esp, golfers who want to make a putting green in the backyard. You should be able to sell reconditioned (not show quality) ones quite easily.

The story of the shed reminds me of what happened to me years ago.
I went to Bendigo Swap meet in my XP Ute looking for some Australian-Made vintage machinery projects and ended up with 2 Austral-Villiers barrel mowers.
The HCVCA were providing vehicles for display for a Transport industry Technical and Maintenance Conference at Moonee Valley Racecourse, so I dropped the XP off on the way home but had no space to take the mowers so turned the handles towards the middle of the Ute and left them as part of the display.
When I went back to pick up the Ute at the end of the conference there were 4 barrel mowers in the back!
I told the story at an HCVCA general meeting and soon after I had to shift a dozen mowers every time I went to go into the shed or get the Ute out.
At the peak there were 30 mowers in the shed so, with the permission of those who gave them to me, 28 of them were sold or given to other interested club members.
I now have 0 and that's enough!

I had one donated to me that came from a bowling green. Fulle 240v electric with the slightest little dent in the catcher. Had it for years, got everything cleaned up n working properly. Took it to a rally and got an offer for it so it went to a new home from the rally.
On the otherr hand at rallies I had quite a lot offered for free just come n pick them up. Over the years I have come home and found the new contender sitting in the yard with no message or hint as to who or where it came from n do they wan it fixed or for me to store under the house. Life can be a mystery at times
