I went on the South Australian Kingston SE run and purchased an old electric guitar case I am turning into a small, very portable, model railway as my model railway club (who open up for the Echuca "American Iron" truck show as our clubrooms are on site) gets invited to half day events so I thought I would make something that can be set up in a couple of minutes rather than a couple of hours. It's still a work in progress but trains will run on it

Love the big set n the fold up portable idea too.
The hard to find part is a smoke generator. Original one may have been called a synchro smoke but think the seuth smoke generator will suit the best.
Thanks for the contact in Melbourne I will track him down now.

Bit off topic.... but....
Does anyone have Scalextric cars?
I've got a box full of old track and bits and pieces. Never to be used again.
Not worth much on market place and to emotionally good to put on hard rubbish.
PM me if interested.
Cobba, I have an old Triang PSA power controller (the greeny-blueish controller with the red knob) if you're interested.

All pretty cool.
That B class is the type of Hornby set I got in the 70's. Still have it.
Jarrod.

My Uncle made two big B class loco's as in the pictures above, supplied the nose and a lot of the panels for this train
My Uncle has been all over Australia with his trains
he has lots of rolling stock to suit, of the same scale, takes kids everywhere for rides
