Ive got a 5/6hp B&S engine I resurrected a while back which is a horizontal shaft n was an industrial engine but for what exactly I dont know. It sat here for years but I always rolled over the engine to keep it free. Then finally decided to get it running. I knew from the pas it did spark up and fired a few times so that was a good start. Then I found the issue in the carby. This is the one I had a go at making a new component for the carby that held the mixture screw. After many attempts and some other carby issues I went n bought an after market one. That only meant I had to try n change the linkage on the main shaft. Well that did go well n now it runs sweet.

Those Kirby engines do run very well and with good oil in them run on forever
