Hello, We have restored my father in laws 1938 Nash Lafayette sedan, it spent time as a dog kennel and later in the dump. This was the standard model and the Holden body from the cowl back is common with all GM vehicles and Packard of that year. We live 300 ks from Perth and it has driven there to rallies a couple of times.
I am presently rebuilding a 1929 standard six Nash tourer, just refitted the springs and axles back on to chassis today. It was complete but after many years in the open the timber body framing needs replacing, apart from rust pitting the panels and guards are reasonable. The motor is away for a rebore, something that should have been done on the '38 one. David.

David,

I would love to see pics of the Lafayette - it would be a beautiful car!

How much would you like for ya SWB Landy??? Would love to get one and do it up for Dad - Dad had a Series 3 Landy when he was working around Australia and I would love to surprise him for his birthday next year by presenting him with the keys to the Shorty!

Yarravel is at Kempsey, Where Slim Dusty was born. I am only chasing about $1250 for it. I does come with a PTO on Gearbox.. I pm'd a admin bloke to see if i could advertise it here but havn't heard back. I am restoring a diesel ute.

I have a electric parts book that i can buy ALL new parts for these very cheap e.g chassis parts, ELectrical harness, brakes, and every thing you could imagine. alot of people love them and my family all have had Landy's and yeah they are like Flintstones, not every one likes em......... except me :D.

bcr2734,

You ain't alone when you say you like the R-600 "Flintstone"! I absolutely adore them!

Just to whet your appetite for them, here's a couple I cooked earlier! These are not for sale - the orange tow truck is mine, the silver one belongs to a friend of me dad's and the Jeffsan one belongs to a bloke in Sydney!
