Just for interest back in the fifties the Thiess brothers were pulling 92 discs behind D6's at Peak downs by hooking up several ploughs cutting about 60 feet in total

This is zero till planting the green weeds have been sprayed and will die. You can see how much wheat stubble is left on top forming a mulch and keeping the moisture in . I got over a tonne to the acre of wheat out of this planting

Picked up this old grey fergy from my Pops/dads/uncles(sort of family affair) farm in benalla, siezed engine but all there, we recon the people that owned it before must have had a rollover and where a bit shy of the hills, farm is as flat as a sh!t carters hat! wheel weights on the front, rears full of water and a cage worthy of a Mad Max film ;D
Strip down of engine coming soon......

1418 Benz now really impressing the bride :-)

Bugly,The disc them selves are set at one angle with no adjustment ,the adjustment for the width of cut (narrower in hard ground and wider in soft)is done by the rear wheel on the plough, turn it in or to the right for hard ground and out or to the left for soft.Bit hard to see the rear wheels in picture but look close at front plough and you can see the rear wheel pointing straight ahead. These ploughs have 3 wheels each. :o :o :o :o Clear as mud ;) ;) ;)

G'day Clarke,
Thanks for your photo's and info. That Terry bloke in USA has a magic collection of old girls. Collecting is pretty full on over there, so I wonder how he got so many old and rare gems together.

This tractor is a Parrett, is fairly complete and the owner has plans to restore it. It is the same era as the USA ones, but I don't have any other information.

Q Lanz John, thanks for putting up your reli's tractors; always good to see other peoples stuff.

Cheers Geoff
