Off Topic - EH Holden Bonnet RElease

Hi guys. My son has an EH Holden in which the bonnet pull has become disconnected, whilst the bonnet is down and locked. What is an easy way to rescue this situation?
The only way I can think of is to take the bumper and bottom panel off and then reach up. Any other ideas?
Thanks. Rod.

G'day Rod, I believe you can get to the bonnet release by sticking either an old screwdriver or a piece of steel rod bent at an angle through the grill and push the release mechanism that way.

maybe a thick welding rod bent at the "correct" angle .. + a lot of swearing
