Austin K8

I have an Austin K8 that for many years we have used as our fuel truck on the farm. Sadly we are selling the family farm and all things with and I am led to believe that the little Austin may be of some value and interest to a collector. Just wondering what interest there may be out there for it?

Neat little truck, hopefully somebody takes it on for restoration.

These are beaut little trucks for city club use (there are a couple in the Qld Heritage Truck Club). No good for long trips as they are really starting to work at 70kph. The other drawback is everything is wood frame, including the doors and will need at least tightening up if not replacing..

Hope somebody saves it.

Still in regular use (no brakes). Very little rust, runs well. He has the engine cover.

You are better off ringing the owner. His wife has the computer but does not monitor this forum.

They have sold the farm and are having a clearance sale but offered this to us to save it from the scrappies. I think you might have to do the organising yourself but worth asking for a truckies name. I got the feeling they did not want to stuff around and would just put it in the line if not taken.

I would second Lang's comments about contacting the owner directly.

They are not a member so Personal Messages are not available to them to send or receive and a few emails for photos and contact details took a week to a few days to get a reply, so phone them if you want it.
