I just got an update from the Daughter who is posting this vehicle on behalf of her Dad.

Please contact Gary Provis: 0458 500 649, the Brother/Son, as he knows more about the Truck and its History than she does.

Hi folks,
After a few minor hurdles and hiccups over the last few weeks, the latest member of our Austin fleet has finally arrived.
Sadly though, she will have to sit outside with the other 2 for a few months until the big new ''Austin" shed (12 x 9 x 3.6m) has been built.
Yes I know the red one is a Bedford, but its still and old British cousin :-)
The K2 is slow progress at the moment, but hoping to have the springs and wheels on her by the end of this week and then looking forward to getting the engine back from her deep strip and rebuild.

Yeah, home at last, pity I missed it at Gillman. I'll probably drop in to make sure you're still making progress next time I'm down. Still can't get over meeting someone who talks more than me! :P

Looks pretty good. Most of these had singles on the back, I wonder if the duals are a conversion?

I see the Austin has six stud wheels, and half a load of spare rims/tyres on the back. Just out of curiosity, what size rim/wheel/tyre are they?

Hi Dave,
I just had a quick look after she was unloaded and I think they are all 7 x 200.
Rims are all good, a mixture of front and rear most of the tyres have run their life, but I reckon I will manage to get a full set out of what's there.
Sent the vin number of to the UK and just waiting for confirmation of its build year etc.
Any sightings of other K8 breaking for spares would be much appreciated.

There is a fairly complete, rust free one sitting at Whitecliffs NSW ( north of Broken Hill and no contact). Only a 5,000km trip to pick it up. Two more in a backyard at Glen Innes
