I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Hello tasman,
What type/size of Commer is it?
What engine? - 4 or 6, petrol or diesel?
Whereabouts are you?
What condition is the truck in?
My mate Jock is looking for a Commer.

Hi Morris,
The truck is a 1948 4 cylinder petrol was driving it up till 2008 around the block,
Condition is really good and original paintwork.
i can send some pics if you would like i think i am the 4th owner, i got it off friends that were moving away and had it for years i have had it for 8 years ,with good intentions,
Unfortunately i am in Tasmania and the strip of water sometimes is a problem for people looking

From another taswegian..... What's it's history? I know of two that have recently been brought out of hiding up at Bothwell somewhere in pretty good shape

Leon,
Thanks, I will probably see my mate Jock tomorrow and tell him about it. The ditch is a bit of a problem but he might have to throw some money at it.

Hi mate as far as i know it started life at beconsfield somewhere on the mine site doing what job i have no idea,
I did think of donating it on a loan basis for historical reasons and to get it out of the weather as i no longer have a shed to house it now i have moved.
Nice old beast and nice to know there are still some good units about as well.
