Thanks to Darrell Rader for this information.
Australia received 120 Haul Thrift trucks, as they were called, in 1948, 8 in 1953 and 4 in 1954. Total production was 4998, a further 16 were produced in 1955 and stayed in USA probably for company use.
Almost all of the less than 500 that were sold in the U.S. were fitted with wrecker bodies. Perhaps all that were shipped out were cab only. The engine was as in Ambassador car of that era.
