there is no number at all on the left side. still has paint so not rusted away simply no numbers to be seen. even using a torch side on to the chassis shows no pattern whatsoever or evidence of anything being stamped there. i was told my 5 stud L110 was one of 20 (in a tempory factory in Melbourne) made the same as the American version of the L110 pick up. ill remove the battery base and check the chassis number isnt under that. could be the chassis was sent here and assembled with the ausy cab.

I think the first of the Aussie built ones Inters did not get the A prefix as they did not have the required level of local content but ISTBC here.

Chassis No. will be on the left rail under the paint, mine was so faint I could not make out all the numbers, I had to assume what the partials were

On our 110 the chassis number was found on the outside of the right hand rail near the front spring hanger.

I just had a look. Tried to get a picture of the old chassis, but it's raining and wouldn't come out.
It's right over/just forward of the front spring hanger on the LHS (AS line).

Mine is right up the front above the front spring hanger.
Your pics are showing too far towards the back of the ute.

That looks interesting, not something that would occur to me to do!
I look forward to seeing it in primer/painted to get a better idea of what it will look like. You're a gamer man than me, rust repair is my limit
