The tank wont be galvanized ,but coated in either lead ,or lead tin solder............I remember the under seat tanks as a kid, always choking petrol fumes in the cab on a cold day,and a pool of petrol in the dished floor under the tank.

As I went along, my standards went up more and more. I'm going back and cleaning up things better now that I decided what level of good ...is good.

This project truck was just going to be a ridge ream on the engine and some brake parts to make it road worthy

Well, it's time to make a little progress report.

Wiring is in and functionable. Here is a shot of the last of it going in the dash.
I have a metric ton of work done, but I am going to dole it out as to not bore anyone.

I thought the exposed signal light switch wiring was appropriate.

Someguy,
We are not bored. Put 'em up, we are waiting. You are making good progress on a very rare vehicle.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Ok Then. While we are on the topic of wiring. I had to ad an additional tail light as to not upset the normies.
The only problem was that the tail light requires a nice little forged steel mount from the frame.
So I started with a piece of an old barbell steel bar.

All it needed now was the little mount where the tail light housing will bolt too.

Plus this bracket for what ever reason.

Plus much more fettling.
