the original engine and box is up for grabs, free to good home (or its goin to scrap)

I shudder when I look at your "special tool " that is so unprofessional, its not improvising, its butchery. Whats wrong with a socket.

...bloody butchery i'll say!! .. have a look at the bend in the big shifter...trying to turn that open ender!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Another trick is to cut the heads off 2 little bolts and weld the shanks to the opposite sides of a socket. At least you can grind them off when your done and still have a good socket.

I don't like butchering tools either, but you do what you have to do to get the job done. I like your ingenuity Scratcha....

That was a $2 spanner from the wantirna market i picked up for a job, only used it for about 2 months, the mod was completed, spanner went back in the shed (ten years ago on the 13th)
The bendy shifter was just handy ;)

I was thinking of building a cable tipper for the tray of the truck, Any photos about? (using an ATV winch tucked in between the rails ;))
Ive got a few ideas, but some of the well earned knowledge on here wouldnt hurt.....

Hi Scratcha, watching with interest your resto work on the "M", great work.
Just wondering what sort of sandblaster are you using & did u sandblast the frame yourself at home?
What work did u do on the front & rear springs?
Did you have to have them reset?
Could you put up a photo of the spare wheel hanger, mine has been butchered by PO for certain purpose.
Just thinking ahead for my "K" resto
Cheers Pierre

Pierre
