Hi every one I am enjoying my resto and I like making things like trolleys,engine stands and hub nut undoers. Today I made a pulley puller and the only cost was time.
When I was talking to the spares guy, he said I should replace the main drive pinion spigot bearing. A lot of words for a small bearing at the back of the block.In the manual there is a complex tool to pull it out. On ebay they sell a tool for about fifty dollars.
I was taking to a very good mate on the phone and he said if I fill the bearing up with grease, get a nice fitting timber dowel and tap the dowel in a number of times, the grease will push the bearing out. It worked well (so simple and clever thanks Rob) photos to come.

Hi Morris it not a baby bath it is a kindling bucket.The kindling works better when soaked in oil.
The bucket was outside,but now back in the lounge room all happy.
