Pauliey seeing that its going and if its not pouring out blue smoke just leave the engine alone other than the plugs and leads and a set of points in the distributer, but if running OK just leave as is other than a new fuel filter, change of oil and a new oil filter. You will have enough to do with brakes and roadworthy things to keep you busy for a while I would think, just take on one job at a time, dont get carried away and rip it apart as it might take years to put back together.

The spark plugs are 3/8" reach, the Champion equivalent was the J-8

Yeah wasn't planning on the rush but nice to be reminded of it - thanks!
It's running a bit rough and I need to pour a little fuel into the carby to get her going if it hasn't been started in awhile.
I'm getting plugs and leads this week so will pick up some points and hopefully she run a bit better.
I'll then chase down the filters.
I've got some water leak issues at the water pump so will be chasing that issue as well. I'm guessing it may be the seal there somewhere.
Can I get a gasket set from ACW or could an auto barn get these??
Cheers
Paul

The oil filter was an AC K11, a Fram C840, or a Purolator MF12BA,
The fuel pump is an AC 7950312, the thermostat is an AC TC-8, and the radiator cap is an AC RC-8 7lb
hope this helps

Pauliey, I had a J3 we used up on the farm, I ran her on premium as I mistakenly thought it would run better, when carting hay, she would foul up the plugs as it was only just cruising.

a few poor seasons it sat around with nothing to do, so i moved her on to take on the M i have almost finished.

As a side note, the year that these photos were taken, we got around 1200 square bales & 220 5' x 4' round bales off the paddock.

this year only 16 round bales.........total!
