Are all Dodge brake bleeders on the bottom side of the backing plates? I vacuum bleed mine so it isn't a problem but what about if you manual bleed and all the air goes to the top?

Don't know about your Dodge but whenever I see bleeders on the bottom (on cars/4WD's) someone has fitted the brake assemblies incorrectly side for side.

That was my first thought also, mine looks to never have been apart but I could be wrong.

At one time most trucks were serviced from a pit,so bottom bleeders were accessible.

This is a photo of front wheel of my Dodge 700, I have since replaced all lines and wheel cylinders but not bled the brakes, another job on the never ending list.

Thanks Dodgeanddetroit, that looks identical to mine, I didn't even think to compare it to my 700.

I think that will bleed conventionally OK.
The oil flow is in at the bottom of the top wheel cylinder then out at the top.
And then off to the bottom of the lower wheel cylinder and out at its top.
Have seen worse.

I had all hell trying to manually bleed the front brakes on a 510 ACCO. We worked out, if you had someone else in the cab pumping like mad, you could get all the air out. Hated it. Stupid upside-down wheel cylinders. (bleeders not at the top)

Dont waste ten gallons of fluid, make yourself a pressure bleeder from a garden sprayer. Then fill the brakes with fluid from the lowest point.Fluid is heavier than air,so it pushes the air out, rather than trying to wash out the air with a rush of fluid from the top.Works good on the impossible to bleed clutch master cylinders too.
