Progress has been pretty slow over the winter months, but I continue with the body work. The doors and grille surround are finished and the cab is about 90% there. I have a months leave planned for October and hopefully the weather will be warm enough by then to do some painting.

Sometimes you keep putting in the hours and feel as if your getting no where. This is done they are next and the list goes on and on like a whinging woman BUT one day you get to see the light at the end of the tunnel and it is NOT a bloody train comming.
Look forward to seeing more progress.

And you slap a coat of paint on those doors and people will say you have been working hard lately not realising what small percentage of the effort is in the painting.

Zuffen, nor does a David Brown gearbox stop whinging but they have straight cut gears. I don't know the reason for the women.

Ah, yes, the painting. The most difficult part I find is being able to faithfully reproduce the paint runs.............

With practise the runs come naturally. I managed a couple on the tractor but I had to fix them up but there are some on the underside of the fuel tanl that I left there as you cannot see them as the tank sits on a shelf.

No problem with runs, but I think I managed to replicate the factory 'orange peel' effect pretty well!. First time I had used a HVLP spray gun and didn't go too bad.
