Finally got a coat of undercoat (and guidecoat) applied. Now a few days of blocking it back and finding out what bits I missed the 1st time around.

Its coming along good

Are you going to remount the cab before final painting

I am wanting to insulate the Mack cab and was thinking about removing it fully to do this

I was wondering how many people have done this with a painted cab and how they lift it with out damaging it ???

Will watch and learn

Paul - I plan to complete the cab (paint, glass, upholstery, sign writing, wiring, seats etc etc) and then mount it. Should then only have to connect up some wires, air lines, fit the radiator, grille and bull bar and start it. I can lift it with forks through the engine tunnel.

I bought some self adhesive silver reflective insulation on Fleabay to do the engine bay on Lorry the Hino. As the cab tilted forward this was ample room for me to guerny off the cab floor, let it dry and startsticking it on. Turns out it also tends to make it quieter inside as well. /it is only thin but so far I'm happy with it. also put it in for the time that I fit an A/C unit to keep us 'hotties' cool.

Well today I finally applied some color. The dash is 1st (glossy satin black), next is the footwells and around the screen (matt black) and then finally the outside of the cab.

Stuart your resto looks like it will go down in the books as one of the best. Certainly one of the best I've seen anyway!
Fantastic work mate.
