Hello Oilman
For shockies on my Dodge I had some success with Monroe but had to do some of the legwork myself. Have you downloaded their truck catalogue

www.monroe.com.au/images/pdf/monroe-magn...alogue-edition-4.pdf

I looked on page 20 with the Atkinson listing, there is a few part numbers, not sure if it covers your model?
then looked at one of them 66957 found it on page 99 and then it gives your dimensions for that part number.

Once I had the part number for my Dodge I phoned Monroe, yes they had them in stock, they told me of a distributor here in WA (Fleetparts) and I chased a set up.

If you cant find your model or part number you will probably find something fairly close dimension wise in their part number listings with all the specs.
Regards
D&D

I had great service and cheap prices from Morwell Spring and Suspension at 52 Commercial Road, Morwell. Phone 5134 8999, fax 5134 2569. Ray Walters is the man. He actually makes springs, rather than importing them from China, as all the places still operating in Melbourne appear to do. He can supply imperial sizes. He also had spring pins and castellated nuts that the Melbourne guys said were made of unobtainium.

Commercial Road is to your right from the Morwell off ramp from the Princes Highway. You can actually see his workshop from the off ramp.

I admit that Morwell is a little outside Melbourne but it is not far away and the countryside in the La Trobe Valley is worth a look, as is the South Gippsland area, if you want to take a scenic ride towards the coast and Phillip Island, etc. PM me if you want details of a couple of members with several restored and under-restoration trucks.

Morris.

I have used this bloke over 20 years ago and found him a top bloke and workmanship spot on

Not much to report. I worked out that the cab shocks were from the rear of a mini, so bought a pair on fleabay. I picked up my 4.11 diffs this week on the way to work, but no chance to unload them from the ute as yet or have a good look at them. They are 34,000lb so need to have the side gears etc changed before I fit them. I think that job is out of my league so I will get Bayswater diffs to do the job and also check them over. I have removed the axles from mine and in the process of removing the hubs but will have to find a 100mm tube spanner - thought I had most hub spanners but not that one. Almost finished replacing all the rusted steel in the suspension bracing and getting very sick of drilling new holes in the chassis. Have pulled the gearbox out and shortly I will pull the diff centres and then get into the rear brakes - do people still rivet their own shoes (I remember spending a lot of my school holidays as a kid chiselling off the rivets and holding the shoes while Dad riveted on the new ones.) Hopefully the old drums can be turned up. Have attached a couple of photos of where I am up to.

A couple of photos attached. I have removed the doors and drilled out most of the broken screws from the door handles etc. The glass channel on one of the windows had completely rusted away, and there wasn't even any of it left in the door cavity.

When it comes time to drill the holes in a chassis I have found a magnetic drill just the thing
Some like to use tapered reamers I have seen on the Mack truck forum

www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/49725-wheel-...ments#comment-378790

I have never seen those type of reamers been used or for sale but the seam to work ok

The magnetic drills are a bit out of my price range, but I did contemplate hiring one. The problem was that I can never seem to get the job all done at the one time, so resorted to the old fashioned way.

Good progress there, assembly and a bit of paint needed now.
