Great little truck.

If you liked the ute version I think, just by looking at the photos, an Inter/Dodge pick-up tub and guards might just drop on for a pretty jigger.

If its standard width, just find an old inter chassis and graft on from cab back.Simple welding job.

Sounds simple John

Tail shaft and uni alterations, wheel studs different, foot brakes different, hand brake different, rerun fuel lines and more than likely track different. When he is finished he has a bastardised vehicle. It just seems to me he should keep it standard and simple, drive it and if he thinks it is too slow get his money back from a collector and look for a whole Dodge, Inter or whatever.

It is a good looking and unusual truck, I suspect he will like it.

Nope, just the chassis and sprimgs.Use your old axle ,tailshaft, etc Although ,you will probably find out the unis are NLA,and have to do something about that anyway. In my experience ,most of these restorations end up with bigger motors, gearbox to suit, higher ratio diffs, and often disc brakes. And Ive seen a few.

What about finding another wrecked one and pinching the required chassis sections.

Well had what I'd call a big win this arvo
All wheel nuts are spinning free so i have access to the brakes especially that rear drum thats will not turn by hand at all
Could u fit dual wheels to this hub?
And i guess I'll have to make a puller to get this off

One would hope you can get the drums to turn by backing off the brakes. Often rust gets under the linings, swelling them against the drum. This assumes the adjusters aren't seized.

If there are big nuts behind the axle flange, you should be able to undo them and remove the drums with the bearings. (unless Commers are different to what I'm used to seeing)
