Have a read of this Thread.

www.hcvc.com.au/forum/OldTruck/8625-comm...ker-trucks-of-1950-s

In it you will find the Web address of the NZ Commer Club.

I think they can answer your question.

Quite often in pommy vehicles there is a date stamp on the back of the instrument panel, which is one of the last items fitted during assembly. Have a gander there. Also can be stamped on the back of the plate on the wiper motor.

Damned if I know! Can't seem to log onto that link. Keeps telling me "server not found"
I did find a site under Commer NZ, but you have to be a member of faceache to access it (I'm not.)

That Vic Rego KDR434 would have been from about 1969 or possibly late 1968. I had a couple of 1970 model cars that had original rego numbers on then, they were KSH510 and KNL335. KSH was a late 1970 car (October), whereas KNL was from May.

cheers,
Pip

Most forums have gone quiet thanks to Facebook.
You'll catch Howard on the Commer Facebook page:

The A.O.M.C site opens up ok. They have all the old Victorian registration details available.

Many thanks to those who told me where to go!
Rang Howard from A.O.M.C., just have to download and print out an application form, pretty sure he can give me a chop out.
Only hiccup COULD be if the Engine # that the unit came with is NOT original, but he thinks with a chassis and cab build , as well as the rego plate that came with it, he can nail it.

Said it many times before, this forum and you blokes on it, would have to be one of, if not the most helpful and co-operative bunch around. Got me out of strife more than once. Will let you know how I get on.
Cheers, Dave_64

Dave, I need a good kick in the arse. I had the details of the OAMC to research my Morris 6 as it was first sold and registered in Vic. You have prompted me into action to chase the history of it before being found on a NSW orchard. I first knew it was from Victoria as it has one of the typical Victorian external tail light switches that were a requirement way back when. Steve.
