Trying to find the carby in the book for Michael. What do you think might be his make and model? I have looked at a few sources now for the 40-50 era Bedfords and get many more Zenith than Solex (I know they are the same company also making Strombergs just to keep us confused),
According to the bible Bedfords of all sizes only had Zenith in Australia early 40's. Did this change post war?

VW use d the same setup on the dual carb Kombis and they stock the shim washers in various thickness's, possibly even their needle and seat assembly will fit.

I would have said that carby is a Zenith and not a Solex.

Thanks Lang! And All
No offence taken. All the information and advice is very much appreciated
I’ve made Progress with install of the old pin. (No Spring) and now bypassing mechanical pump. She has at least started tonight!!!
Probably still need some adjusting in height to the fuel pressure, tomorrow’s run will tell.
Pretty sure Carb is Zenith
Lines are definitely clear. This was one of my main concerns.
Any details on the Zenith Carbs, if any one has , is greatly appreciated!

I went digging for the info on the guy who I got my needle and seat from.
When I was searching for the correct type of needle and seat for the Solex FP-30 on the David Brown I stumbled onto this Company up on the Gold Coast. They also do fuel pumps and vacuum pumps for vehicles 1928 - 1988.
Classic Carburettor Kits (spelling as on his card)
Gavin Campbell.
www.classiccarbs.com.au Email info@classiccarbs.com.au
0408 153 514.
I have no interest in the company but they knew exactly what it was I needed before I finished describing what I had.
