Little bit of help pls, I'm replacing clutch master ,slave and the flex hose. On mine the flex hose is attached to the steel pipe from the master, at the other end its connected to a small steel pipe that goes into the slave. Is this the original set up or should the flex hose go direct to the slave? This isn't shown in the workshop manual (318/5 speed)

Can't see it would make much difference, as long as there is a section of flexible pipe somewhere between the two, and there is no leakage. ;)

the thing im thinking of is vibration , the steel pipe on the slave is unsupported so its getting movement from the hose and movement of bits and pieces. Id like to go original but otherwise Ill make a support bracket for the small steel hydraulic pipe.

I would leave out the short steel pipe t the slave cylinder and connect the flex idrectly to it. This leaves out one join that does not need to be there and one less trouble spot.
