Greg, You can always take the 5th wheel (Turntable) off and replace it with a tray. The spec sheet does not say, or I did not see, the wheelbase but you might be able to fit a tilt tray, What we call a rollback, and have a very usefull truck around the farm? It would be a very unique toy hauler to take your tractors to shows!!

No turntable fitted, it was sold with the trailer when my uncle was ill.
Yep, thought about bolting a tray on, but we have limited use for it and the farm is steep, 4wd required.
Don't have anything in show able condition, as we work with everything that we have, except the truck.

Interesting how the ratios work, 1/2 gear in between.
We have progressed further, fitted new foot valve.
Could not get more than 30 psi before, new valve = 60.
Fixed broken vac pipe on gearbox range changer, now idles to 120 blow off.
Some more advise please, how do I stop the range selector arm on the gear knob leaking?
The PBR handbrake lever seems to have problems.
If I push the button and pull the t arm out, when I touch the brakes it dumps a lot of air. If i push it in, it doesn't dump the air when I touch the brakes. Any comments?
Have a slight leak in a splitter for the rear brakes air, will check that now.
Have air horns now :-)
Thanks Greg

Could anyone advise me where I can get 20M of 1/4 inch id re-inforced rubber air brake hose.
None of the suppliers I tried had ever sold/ stocked it.
They told me only place to get it is USA, then import some.
I bought a small section of it about 15 years ago, can't remember where.
All the existing hoses on the Diamond Reo have a blue cloth cover. All the fittings are like hydraulic screw on style.
All the fittings are re-usable, I just need the hose.

I would think any hydraulic shop would have something suitable. I took all the brake booster hoses off the Mk3 Atkinson to our local hydraulic shop and he made new ones to my samples. Same deal with all the external oil, fuel, and coolant hoses on the engine.

I am going through that at the moment with my Mack Midliner. The air man has been here today looking at the bastardised European/American air system.

Absolutely no problems as he carries in his truck every possible fitting to adapt metric to SAE to NPT to BSP to various tapers. Several lines replaced with modern stuff adapted in minutes. If all else fails they can take your old fittings, cut the ends off them and braze or silver solder a modern bit on the other end - the workshop is certified to produce spec standard manufactured fittings.

if U go to the hose doctor ( NZed or Pirtec) they can sell U the new hose and reuse the ends if in good nik
but there aint much munee in the deal so they will talk U into squashed ferrel fittings ( non reusable ) @ a lot more $$$$

Is nylon DOT approved brake air hose possible?

If not, possibly bossairsuspension.com.au/air-fittings/1-4-dot-approved-airline/ or
www.cracked4x4.com.au/product/1-4-dot-approved-airline/

Pirtek has a huge selection of hoses.
