Swish is on the monee. 20m is a lot and suggests the entire brake lines are in this stuff. The industry converted to nylon ages ago, but still using the rubber hoses where flex is required such as chassis to axle. You should be able to get it in blue and diameter is to suit how much air goes through it so it does vary. The truck spares places should be able to fit you out with a kit but often only have a limited range of the required fittings so can be frustrating. However this mob are pretty well a one stop shop; www.ifsnsw.com/products.php
The service Lang uses sounds like paradise as it is not available in the bush.

Thanks for the feedback.
I was told by local hydraulic shop can't use stronger hydraulic hoses, that was all they have.
Local truck shop has new nylon hose and fittings.
I've pretty well got to replace most of the air hoses, the ones under the cab are mostly OK. A few are good, at one end.
I would like to replace all the ho$e$ and connector$, but that's not in the budget. Other things are eating the budget, foot valve, air relay, patching what I have. Then there will be oils filts etc.
Then the electrics, which don't work, lucky I understand electrics.
Bought some nylon hose and a couple of fittings to replace some broken hoses. Now the big leaks have been worked out, there lots of little ones :-(
Aeroquip, now that rings a bell, pretty sure I bought small hose from Pirtek years ago.
Have re-used those " field" fittings many times, even a couple today :-)
Located at Tambo Crossing ( tambox)
I now have a better idea of what to do.
Thanks Greg.

I've replaced a lot of hoses on my Diamond Reo, some nylon, some blue braided with pressed fittings, some blue with re-usable fittings, some with with new hose and new fitting brazed onto JIC ends and some black braided on re=usable fittings. I found the blokes at Enzed Adelaide very helpful but the job was not cheep. The blue and black braided are very similar in size and the correct one needs to be used.

Unfortunately all this work has to viable, too many other "historic" farm projects on the go, the others are worth it.
This one of the reasons it was parked for so long.

Turns out the hose is high temperature hose, $40+ per meter from pirtek.
Nylon hose option may be more viable.

I looked in the Aeroquip book ,and for the type usage ,the correct hose is either 2550-6 or 2570-6 ....but the stuff is in 3/8nb or 1/2 nb......and to me 1/4 seems a very unusual size for truck brakes ......I dont recall anything but 3/8...and IMHO .your picture looks to me to be 3/8 hose....I think you need the 2550-6 size Aeroquip hose.

This is where part of the confusion is.
The diameter of the hole in the centre of the existing pipe is 1/4 inch. The od of the pipe is 5/8.
Being rubber hose, I was told this is the pipe measurement.
While 3/8 nylon pipe has a 1/4 hole in the centre, with 3/8 od.
This was advise from the suppliers.
Yes, everybody says its rare, like the rest of the truck?

your truck is pre metric
guessn all the hoses would B imperial as in inches
if U use the Aeroquip hose & fittings make sure it is in inches
most new stuff is all metric and is the rong size to fit the ol Aeroquip
a singe wire cored hose should do the job like your blu hose
take the ol Aeroquip fitting @ see if you can srew the ferrel over the new hose B 4 U buy it
the outer ferrel is Left hand tapered thread

Tambox, I agree with John..
Maybe next time you go into Bairnsdale take a couple of Hoses with you, & try a few different Places. I'd be very surprised if you couldn't get sorted out,,

I THINK this is because the nylon is sealed from the outside and the rubber is sealed from the inside.

It's important for the rubber to seal on the inside.
