That's right about the HQ I lost track what they ran. Blue motors went over to a 12 port head

It was funny......no Holden ever blew a head gasket in the whole history of the world ,these blue motors came out ,and you couldnt get out of the dealers without the engine chuffing ....GMH sure went off the rails inthe 70s ...rust ,unreliable motors, junk cars .

Zenith Engineering at Milton used to sell kits and adaptors to fit Red motors to just about anything .........used to be hundreds of two ton Daihatsu s and Toyotas around with Red motors ........and of course the Landrover conversions ............. a Series 3 with a 202 was the best offroader before the Landcruisers got fancy.

I was a part owner of a series one with a 186 in it, slow but reliable, just after the other guy bought my share, it blew up…..something to do with not putting oil in it after he changed it….
Anyway back to the Bedford, why did you change to a 202? My tj5 has a 214 in it that is a bit tired, but I was just going to fix that up.

HI Grumpster,
I wanted something with readily available spare parts.
Had other stuff in the past, where I've had to wait weeks for simple things like water pumps etc - takes the fun out of it.
I can get just about everything, over the counter at Supercheap.
