The day Ed Roth died it was announced on an Adelaide radio station. I wondered at the time how many people would have even known who he was.

So many sensational creations too . . .

true, so many events in my life that were game changes for the world and young people look at me like Im from another planet

I guess I am as ugly as someone from another planet

Paul

Yes he was a good friend.
We first met a Knotts Berry Farm in California in 1982, I stayed at his place for about 3 months, some great memories and bits and pieces from the time I spent with him.

We met up several times again over the years.
I also worked with his best friend Bert Grimm, selling shirts.

Heavy influence on me, love the guy.

Thanks Paul,
Bit bulky, but much easier to bodywork the mudguard on.

Much better set up, the West Coast type you had first would have created a huge blind spot.

Either up high or down low, out of immediate eye level has to be better, I guess it depends on the driver's height and/or the way they sit in the saddle . . .

Agreed PDU, truth is, I could hardly see the passengers side one!

Thought it was the look I wanted, but totally wrong.

Yeah, I get some looks when I cycle through town.

The 1965 Sunliner is the next project off the rank.

LHS . . . Even though I can see in B for's LH mirror it is almost impossible to see along the side to the back LH corner with the mirrors as they are now. A car creeping up on the inside of me would be fine, but that back corner will have to be the passenger's responsibility.

Second thoughts, I'll be travelling that slow it is unlikely that will ever happen!?

Intrigued by the photo-shopped image on your J Types driver's door???   Willing to expand a bit on it at all?
