Kenworth S2 upgrade

I have an S2 that I am going to restore and update.
It is currently powered by a VT903 with a 13 speed R/Ranger. (sounds amazing)
Can anyone tell if a 3406c Cat will fit with an RTLO20918 and airglide 460.
Alternatively would the a c12 cat be a better option.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Scotty I would imagine anything will fit with enough cutting and grinding

I think a tape measure is the best place to start
3406 should be a relative simple motor to do, no computer

Dunno how else to help at this stage

Leave the 903 in it, wind it back a bit (fuel and revs) and build a big sump the only things that was ever wrong with them was they were driven to hard and only had half enough oil in the sump, look after it a bit and it will outlast you

Thankyou for the advice.
The gearing seems to be a little on the low side.
What is involved in changing the 13 speed to an over drive.

I had a butter box Acco tipper with a 210 Cummins v8 and it was an o/d box, 4th and 5th were reversed.

.

Scotty, It'll be Box out & apart. Press the top 2 Gears of the Shafts turn 'em around & put It All back together..

If the Rest of the Box is in good order It won't be Too expensive.. BUT when Playing with Old Gear the deeper you dig the More you Find that needs Attention..LOL
Before You Know It. It will be;
Re-race the Box, new Clutch, machine the Flywheel & a new rear main Oil Seal.. Ohhh & new Engine Mounts Uni Joints & centre Bearing..

Do that the 13 speeds are a nice box behind a Cummins not a big fan of 18speeds, your saving a bit of cash on your first plan so you may as well spend or it will go into doing up the Bath room:)
