Does that mean that the NP behind a cleveland or a dodge is also the same pattern or just the same box with a different bellhousing?

From what I can work out, same box except for the input shaft. Bellhousing also per brand. (NP435, for sure. ISTBC about the 5 speed)
Jarrod.

Engine mounts would be a USA purchase then I assume ? Flywheel and starter are also a direct swap I’m told.

Roger that Paul. Slow and steady is all I’m after, all show and no go as they say.

Well I would stick to the 292 then, pretty gutless but they get along okay and probably only use half the amount of fuel
The 292 is gutless but it has plenty of torque, probably as much or more than a 350
There was a reason Holden never offered a 350 in a the C50 or C60s, they never made that much difference for this type of truck

In one of my vehicles I changed from a 307 V8 to a Chev six, initially a 250, and then a 292.Ultimately fitting a powerglide up behind the 292. This required drilling the flex plate out to accept the larger diameter bolts used on the 292 to hold the flywheel on (and shorter too). And yes, I agree it sounds a weird combination but it worked nicely.
I just added this here because it may be an issue between some of the V8 engines - in my case the powerglide was an earlier model from a 283. Maybe a 350 has larger bolts already, but unlikely for the early 327?
When it comes to the big blocks I would imagine they have larger bolts, but then there is also the small block 400 which possibly do not? Wrap your head around that little gem of useless information.

Morning group, got the 292 out of the c60, cleaned up and had a quick look at bores and crank. All looks good, super clean engine inside, one cyl has some water marks but nothing a bore/hone won’t sort out. It’s the original motor for the truck, not sure if it’s copped a rebuild over the years, Speedo is telling me she’s done 849,434ks
So far I’ve got a small list of parts that I require,
Top and bottom thermostat housings
Water pump
Thrust bearing
If anyone can help me sourcing the above, It will be super appreciated.

Last time I did one up I got the parts direct from the States
Long before the days of the Interweb, just got up early one morning, made the call wired the money across
I reckon these might of been the mob
www.racingproductswarehouse.com/aboutus.html
I still have the parts book, like a Melbourne Yellow pages, both parts
I ordered every performance part I could find for the 292, forged flat top pistons, think it might of been roller rockers, 4 barrel offenhauser manifold
Got the head ported and flow tested and I think it was over 450 hp flow
Got the heads done like a Yellaterra stage three, took dividers out between the inlets
Spent a fortune and then ended up selling the truck before the motor went in, I gave it to a mate, short block all assembled, head done etc as he was a Chev man, as far as I know its still on his floor or shelf waiting
But parts are easily available
