HI All, fist time user. Great looking forum hoping you gents might be able to help with information on my build. 1971 C1100 step side ute. done a lot of googleing but not finding the info.
Motor 6-281 full rebuilt painted red. Can any one tell me whats the correct colour for the 4 speed gearbox with a pressure clean it red, silver, and bull dog gold. Thanks for any help in advance.

LOL... Hi Sarge will put up some pics need my camera... i have done it before with camera to desk top... but not phone, i,m no Bill Gates on the tap,tap machine.

The gearbox would usually be the same colour as the engine on an Inter. I expect they were painted as a unit at the factory.
Most of these are frankentrucks by now. That box could be out of an earlier truck, with the gold paint, or your cab may have been replaced.

Thanks asw120... yes i have a sneaking suspension the truck may have been originally 3 on the tree.... as the hole in the hump cover for hand break leaver isn't a factory cut. So red it shall be.

Hi cobbadog, yes was a very tidy truck to start with... very minimal rust and original... apart from the suspected gearbox upgrade...

any input please to the oil pump drive to disturber... i have set the slot parallel to the block ? or do i need to revisit this ? ( 6-281)
