Hi all, new member here, thanks for letting me join.
I'm in Tamworth NSW and have just purchased a 55 Fargo 2 ton truck. Good condition, complete and rust free ( pulled out of shed after 30 years) . Just trying to figure out wiring, there is no ignition switch and the wires have been labelled but cannot read anymore. I have a 2position wiper switch near drivers door, a small rotating switch, black push button, red dash light, choke and throttle control. I thought I would have a large push/ pull light switch. Any help would be great. Cheers

Just Google 1955 Dodge Truck manual (99% the same as the Fargo) and you will see unlimited offerings.
This bloke has it sorted. Anybody restoring a vehicle unless going for concourse prizes should not even question changing to 12 volt. The 6 volt starter works just fine on 12 volt. 6 volt horn usually works just fine but all it needs is the little adjuster screw on the back turned to "tune" it for 12 volt. Jaycar and other electrical places have little 12v to 6 volt in line reducers for the fuel gauge and larger capacity ones for the 6 volt wiper motor.
This should be so close to your original it does not matter.

Thanks for your help. Mainly looking for what switches should be on dash. Even my 42 ford jeep has a big light switch that most things run off

I have worked out small rotating switch on left is panel lights. Next button is starter. Red light is power. So I still don't have a light switch or a hole for it to go in.( Assuming the ignition switch goes where wires are hanging out
