So, been out on the trailer this weekend for a few hours, bought some equipment and tools, talking rust and the U-bolts for the old trailer, said U-bolts where beyond saving as they all sheard off complete, the angle grinder gave out and is bugged too, so I could only do a limited amount of work, other than that I have done some more tool cleaning at the local men's shed.
I fixed with old shovel with some help from our retired nuclear engineer turned carpenter, he adjusted the wooden table leg to fit the handle mount and shovel head, all I did was clean it and put it together.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

HalfaDodgeTruckMan,
I suggest you keep looking for a "parts" truck to provide parts in better condition than some of yours. Who knows, you might end up restoring the parts truck and using yours for parts.

Driving them hand operated shovels is the worse bit. I have a few tools that I class as museum pieces n not to be used.

I've been trying to find local places, but I've also been busy with other stuff that's taken up my time other than what I'm currently doing, all in all, I've been meaning to try and find parts but I've turned up empty handed each time; that's why I came to this board to try and see if anyone here knew where to get parts for said truck.
I'll try to stay on topic, but updates on the dodge are going to be very slow from now on until my life slows down a bit; annoying as it is I really do want to get back to the dodge and get it up and running once more.
Also, I would like to find another local 47 dodge truck that I could take parts from, it would make life so much easier than having to buy new old stock parts from the US, so please if anyone here knows someone; please let me know.

So, update, been learning how to weld and do a few other things, work on the old trailer and recently my uncle borrowed a forklift from next door, where still planning on working on the dodge, my uncle and I have decided to build a dedicated shed for the dodge to store the thing and keep it out of the weather; next step will be to use the forklift to remove the cab of the dodge so we can weld up some of the rust holes.
In other news I recently did a small weld job on my uncles post hole digger, I would like some feedback from you all
