I am still looking for the side badges 1938-1947. You can see the row of bolts along the side panel. Chevrolet side panels had small vents and fine chrome strips.

Well done Lang.
It looks perfect to me, you really get in and get them done quickly.
Is the registration conditional or club permit?

It is on club plates. I have a couple of meaningless personal plates that have been on a number of vehicles.

I have the illusion standard plates might receive less attention from the highway patrol.

Excellent !

Are the old Q plates still legal, I think there was only one Q plate displayed on the rear of the vehicle.

If you can find a vehicle with Q plates on a farm they will register it to the same vehicle only.

Q plates are available from Personal Plates Qld but they cost a mozza.

Never knew you could get old Q rego renewed ......the MRD actually took mine away and told me to get new plates ......then said I needed to turn in the Q plate ..............the Q plates were supplied by owners ,not the MRD ,so I said up yours.

Hi Lang, great job.

You may have mentioned this, but I guess you're taking the ute to the VP80 commemoration in Townsville?

As are these guys whom I spotted in Thargomindah today (and I understand you know at least one of them.)

Yes everyone is moving north in smaller or larger groups. My effort does not start until Sunday from Brisbane arriving Townsville on Tuesday. I know each of those Dodge blokes.

The activities begin on Wednesday and carry on each day until the big finale the following weekend.

As an aside I do love those Dodges - I have owned each of those models over the years. Those half tonners are little beauties. Chevrolets are probably lighter and nicer to drive but they just don't have the solid Dodge character. As for Fords, I have owned very few of that era and have low confidence in those V8 side valves. I am not anti-Ford having owned many more modern F-trucks with pleasure.
