Hi all
I'm Jacob, 35 from south coast NSW, and I've just purchased a '69 Dodge AT4 dual cab that needs reassembly.
I have almost all the parts required, but given that these trucks are some of the most common ones around I'm not too worried about this.

One thing he is looking for is the windscreen. Again, I'll probably be able to find an original, but he mentioned he's heard of laminated safety glass reproductions being made. I would prefer this as I plan to drive around the missus and our two young daughters in it. Plus I value my eyesight. Does anyone have any info where I might be able to find a laminated repro screen?

Below pic of the sale ad on facebook, I'm still organizing a towie to deliver it to me.
Cheers

Hi Jacob, where abouts are you on the south coast, as I have a good windscreen hanging in my shed which is free to a good home. I'm in Moruya.

Steve.

Sadly, Mike passed away suddenly a couple of months ago. They will still have stock, but I'm not sure there's anyone there with the same passion, now.
There was a big hole at Allora where Mike's setup would usually have been.
I have to ring them, myself. I need some bits for the ASW.

Jarrod.

In my experience all the later screens are laminated ,and really easy to break...............and I mean easy ..........the moulded rubber is a lot harder to find ,I have a new one ,well new 50 years ago ,and all scrunchhed up now.,and probably useless.

No worries Jacob, it can hang there a while longer. I also have a screen rubber to suit, (used), and a rear screen.

If you want a Laminated screen, I'd be highly surprised if Windscreens O'Brien wouldn't stock them.

Not sure if Ralph Moore is still doing old glass?

Mine may have been an isolated experience but some years ago I had a Ford bus with two flat windscreens. I needed a new driver's side one and went to Windscreens O'Brien with the sample, for a quote. Their price was three times the price I paid another glass place for exactly the same type and thickness of flat safety glass.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

I think it has to do with the particular franchise. I must say that over the years in a few different Windscreen O'Briens shops they have done some really unusual and sometimes difficult jobs on all sorts of weird and wonderful vehicles at a very reasonable price with a can-do attitude.

I always make them first port of call.
