LOL! - I love it! - keep it up, fellas! Now where's some pics of a heap of busted Rockwell diff gears?? .. :o ;D .. we need the BEFORE and AFTER pics!! .. ;D ;D

Chocs, is there actually another assembly method, besides 4 tubes of silicone, and a BF rattle gun?? .. and where does the BF hammer come in?? .. :o

Well, that's how I'd do it, and if some whinging whining sand groper was carrying on about the excess silastic on the outside, I'd just get the stanley knife out and cut it off, smile and charge him double.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I like the banter but that is they way they were supplied yes the surplus could have been cleaned Now if that was myself doing that I would have used a urathane type sealant that can be painted over and therefore less obverse , but the blue is good stuff and who would still know how to make a gasket with gasket paper (where do you get it) and ball pen hammer and why would you

glad to hear you were not responsible for that Geoff ;)
well i think there would be a few here who could still make a gasket... me being one of them..
gasket paper is still available in varying weights and types..
why would you.. other than sealing qualities..to set a correct 'crush' between surfaces, to insulate between different metals etc..
Theres probably a bit more to it than that too..but if all fails, use the 'cam' method..he could give you the use of his air operated bulk silastic dispenser! ;D
Think you might be better to get chocs and ronnie on the job though, along with captain jimbo reading out the correct specifications, parts and tolerences..that way it'll be done right!! leave Adam out of it though, coz he can't spall, spel, splell, right werds coretc good ;D ;D ;D
