Bigcam,

We were trying to illustrate why he may have multiple air relay's for the service brakes on the doner back end.

Sounds like the original was definately single. In the end if the correct diagram is available regardless of the doner's layout it can be modified to suit the correct setup. I think this is what is needed for Geoff.

Jarrod, you can have 2 relay's at the rear running off the same air circuit and it can be still a dual circuit system. Likewise you can run 2 relay's on a single circuit system. The air system on Geoff's White I reckon I'm reasonably well versed in, and I can probobly talk it through in 5 minutes over the phone, rather than looking at a diagram. White used a simple system, and some of the modern valve's can be worked into it, though, there isn't much advantage unless you want to start from scratch. The other thing is, it complies with the ADR's of the day, if you want to upgrade it, it's a bit of a nightmare. Single circuit brakes are still quite effective.

You're looking good there, Geoff. The devil is in the detail, though. It's amazing how you can seem to install most of the drivetrain in something like a few hours .. then it takes a fortnight to do small stuff, like wiring, guards, a few hoses, and a splash of paint .. :D

Sunday progress up date. Airbags in and connected up and working just need to adjust some ride height issues
Those quick release air lines are just great
Fitted tails shafts together with new unis and new front shaft great to work with new stuff
Fitted some wheels and tyres but got the wrong spacers so that is a easy fix.

So the white muster is looking good just a few so called small issues

looking good mate. The way to adjust ride height is as follows. Release brakes, move truck forward a meter and then back a meter without touching the brakes. Adjust ride height rod to desired length. repeat the forward and backwards again, recheck ride height. Must be done on level ground. Scalies pads are good. The amount of times i have seen it done with the brakes on then it goes out the door way out. Couldnt tell one smart ar$e once. He did an a-trailer and it was going down the road sticking up in the air like a cobra snake.

Following on hooked up brake lines and fired it up no air pressure found a couple leaking fittings repaired these but would still no pressure. Thinking haven't touched anything behind tanks drove it to where was what could be issue. Turns out check valve in tank inlet decided it didn't like working pulled apart and cleaned all well. So adjusted brakes run on stands all appears well. So just some temp lights and guards and off to the White thing. If anyone is interested there is abogie here with 5.2 gears and 10 stud Leyland hubs on Hendrickson walking beam open to offers

Well tonight fitted more wheels and tyres and backed out in the street and every thing seems to work It goes forward and stops. Just the ride issue and as previous some lights and guards which can be all interim components. Thanks to those that have given advice and support but don't go away we still have things to do. Will post some more photos soon
