We had a 13 cfm compressor running a medium size furlan glass bead cabinet and it struggled now we run a 32 cfm compressor and it does it easy, more the merrier is the moral of the story but a small compressor will cope.

I have a chinese cabinet which came with the usual suction/venturi gun and ceramic nozzles. Using garnet the nozzles wear way too fast and the air pressure (from 16 cfm compressor) drops too much to be effective. I now reserve the cabinet for glass bead work and run garnet through a big setup in the open. What they don't tell you is that you need an effective extraction system to remove and filter the air you are blowing in but you can get by with an old vacuum cleaner rig.
