V903 Engine Brakes

Have V903 320hp was originally fitted with engine brakes but were removed. have been told there are a couple different sets. How would i go about identifying what i need to refit to my engine. Any information or diagrams would be helpful. This engine is in my '73 S2 Kenworth. Cheers KWS20

Surley U dont want exhaust brakes
all they do iz make a noize
U might need engine brake
exhaust brake puts a flap over the exhaust
an Engine brake converts the motor to a compressor for retardation

Swishy, they don't sound too bad on a 903, and save the camshaft a lot.
Smiths SGV were the ones I saw fitted to a few of them, worked pretty good too.

2 types of Jake brakes for 903's, GM diesel can probobly enlighten you a bit more, he's been having a bit of a play in recent times, or if someone brings up the thread on his Transtar there is a bit on it there. KWS 20, is this the truck in question?
