I remember almost lusting after them as a kid but I was a FORD man so the Sundowner was more my style.
Rumor was they were callled Sandman as the girls who spent times with surfies spent ages removing Sand the Man left after the event

Sundowner Bruce? was that only an XC offer? like the Valiant Drifter I think was only in the CL? could be more than likely wrong.
The Sandman was from the HQ through to HZ? or WB?
I had though of getting the HZ blue Sandman stripe kit for this one, though it looks cool plain white.
I have resisted the line and scroll which the workshop Falcon ute is getting tommorow, seeing as Lee was too busy to do it on the weekend. LOL. Bruce I must admit the Falcon ute workshop ute I've got has a lot more leg room than the Holden, then again it doesn't sound the same but. The WB has a 308 2 chimneys with hotdogs as the only mufflers, surprisingly it's not too loud (when you are industrially deaf).
Thanks Jarrod, that really brings out the dent in the rear 1/4. LOL.

Suppose I could fix the dent in the pic. But every dent has a story!

back then I was doing HSC (now year 12) and was at my locker in the common room when I heard one of the girls say 'ignore those with the better cars are going to spend more time on them than you' so you may have had more luck than Sarge at my school at least
My first car was a 1970 LC Torana 4 door with the big 161 ci engine. The only vehicle I know that can go from handbrake start to 70mph in 2nd gear
My first commercial vehicle was the XP Ute but I didn't buy that until 1999 - it was vehicle number 6 (number 5 was still around as Mrs P's car).

And that van had plenty of stories to tell Jarrod (dent wise anyway).

I was driving along about a year ago and came across my old panelvan boy did it bring back some good memory's 253 4 speed.
Had to sell it to get the deposit on my first house (still got the house) so some things go but you cant take away the memory's and the good times had.
If i can dig up some old pictures i will post them

Nice collection Hoarder, I can still remember soaking the label in water to get it on to the windscreen, and the 5 or 10 minutes of soaking and scrapeing to get the old one off, used to see cars with 2 or 3 stickers on them back then, not that the coppers wouldn't ping you for that either.
I collect original old rego labels, especially Queensland ones. I've got them going back to the early 1960s, and have a few from the 40s and 50s from NSW.
I also collect old expired driver licences and rego papers.
Here's a bit of a sample:

Very Nice Trevor, how did you pick it as yours? have they left it the same as when you had it?
