The Dash for Dubbo..An Aerodyne on a mission!

I have decided to start a new thread for this truck.
(This truck was previously mentioned in the 'Events' thread for the Dubbo run..)

This truck is supposed to be ready for The Golden Oldies Truck Show in Dubbo....
NO THIS YEAR! 2012!
What......with about 30 odd days to go...
No time here for a classic resto..this is setting out to be one full noise race to the finish!
This one will be the 'hot welds and wet paint' special...

I will endeavour to post a piccy each day until she is done.
Through the story i'll introduce you to some of the Rebuilders / Characters along the way.

Ok here goes!
As you can see, she was running around in New South Wales at some stage...

Here she is in Ol Mates yard......

Just to try and keep track of the time frame..

About..Day 1

Next stage saw the cab ripped off and the chassis hauled into the wash bay..
About 6 1/2 hours on the pressure wash, revealed a whole lot more drama....
This is now looking for more than just a tickle with a spray can..

A couple of questions Choc's man first what actually happened to it as the wounds look strange

Well...
I believe this damage was mostly a result of the cab rams either failing, or cab rams being removed and the cab not being support correctly......
Thats only an educated guess though

The 892 could be a worry Swisho, there was talk of throwing in some 'dependable' iron while the shed was off!

Geoff..i am sure it will have the potential to be a LOUD one!

Ianoz, I have heard that Lorry has his finger right on the pulse of this one...
Can't wait to see what theories and ideas are put forward during the big Dash to Dubbo..

Don't get too close Scummy...you'll get handed a spanner or a paint brush!!
