G'day there, the Aerodyne was parked on the oval with a few other trucks and it looked a real treat. The outside work seems mostly done and even has the correct tanks fitted. After following the resto on here all I can say is it's a credit to all involved and you have good reason to be proud of your work. Cheers

The Aerodyne in Dubbo on Sunday 12th August.
A credit to all involved. It has been great following the progress of the restoration. A big thank you to Chocs for posting the pics and keeping us up to date on what was happening. We enjoyed your humourous twists to the events.
On behalf of the Golden Oldies Truck Club I extend our thanks to you all. The publicity generated for the Dubbo Truck Show by this thread on the HCVC forum has been priceless.
Kind Regards,
Geoff.

Geoffa, it looks great out there on the oval & I'm glad to see that the work the boys put in is appreciated. Yes I'm sure that the publicity that the "Dash for Dubbo" gave to your show could not be counted in a dollars & cents value. Thank you for aknowledging their contribution and the "HCVC's forum that is open for everyones pleasure. Well done. Cheers Tim

Good to see the Aerodyne lined up at the show...
Fair bit of energy expended to get it up and running..
Really does go to show what can be done, with a very limited budget and a very tight time frame..
We decided to get this thread up and running and step you through a quick rebuild..
I have certainly enjoyed the pictures and progress each day..
Pity i couldn't bring you some of the audio from the odd phone call!
Chappo and i have certainly shared some laughter and some good time on the phone, just discussing the dramas that were unfolding..
It was great to see the support of the onlookers, both here on the forum and around our industry in general..
The past few days have certainly thrown up a few hurdles, some able to be conquered.....some not..
Thanks again for taking such an interest and i certainly would like to post a few more 'rebuilds' and 'stories' up.
Once again...good on yas for havin a go! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

WARNING WARNING
THIS IS NOT A DRILL ....THIS IS ACTUAL FOOTAGE FROM THE SITE!
IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED THAT WE HAVE HAD AN ENGINE FAILURE!
There were some strange noises and a lot of huffing and puffing coming from beneath the big Aerodyne...
You wouldn't read about it!
But thats truckin...
All part of the deal..
Learning to take the bad with the worse..
There is still a sense of humour in the camp though..
one comment was....at least i made it to Dubbo before my engine failed!
The pictures tell the story....
All on a 'Dash to Dubbo'
